Anatomy, Physiology and Pharmacology Lab

This well equipped laboratory trains the students in practical studies of Anatomy, Physiology and Health Education. This lab The lab is well equipped with Medical Microscopes, Sphygmomanometers, Sherrington’s Kymograph machine, Haemocytmeter, Convulsiometer, Stethoscopes, Clinical Thermometers, Human Skeleton, Slides of Human Tissues and various charts and models like Eye, Ear, Heart, Brain, Lungs and Kidney.

Pharmacognosy Lab

Identification and evaluation of crude drug which are obtained from plant, animal & marine sources are carried out in the Pharmacognosy Laboratory. This laboratory assist the students acquire skills of identification, morphological and microscopical studies, isolation, estimation, pharmacological uses and formulation aspects of various medicinal and aromatic plants of traditional value. Laboratories are equipped with the facilities such as Projection microscope, BOD Incubator, micropipettes, heating mantle, hot air oven, refrigerator, digital pH meter and distillation unit with many crude drugs, charts and models.

Pharmaceutics Lab

This laboratory is designed for the formulation of oral liquids like solutions, syrups, elixirs, suspension and emulsions. The laboratory is well equipped with Ball mill, Tablet Punching Machine, Tablet Coating Pan, Disintegration Apparatus, Dissolution Apparatus, Friability Test Apparatus, Clarity Test Apparatus, Capsule Filling Machine, Bottle Sealing Machine, Sieve Set, Tablet Counter, Tray Dryer, digital balance, deionization unit, ampoule washing machine, autoclave, Blender, Pestle and mortar, refrigerator and Hot Air Oven.

Pharmaceutical Chemistry Lab

This well furnished laboratory provides facilities for practical training in Inorganic, Organic and Pharmaceutical Medicinal Chemistry for the synthesis and structural elucidation of medicinally important compounds. The lab is equipped with Mechanical Stirrer with Hot Plate, Hot Plates, Digital pH meter, Distillation unit, Muffle Furnace and Water Bath.

Pharmaceutical Microbiology Lab

This sophisticated laboratory is designed to help the students familiarize with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP); design, development and maintenance of aseptic areas; procedure for sterility testing; growth, cultivation, isolation and identification of microorganisms in medicines; Microbiological assays etc. The laboratory is well equipped with Aseptic Cabinet, Autoclaves, Centrifuge, Laminar air flow bench, BOD Incubator, Antibiotic zone reader and Colony counter etc.

Pharmaceutical Analysis Lab

In this laboratory, elaborated Pharmacopoeial methods are used for the analysis and quality control of drugs and pharmaceuticals. This laboratory helps the students to familiarize with the modern methods of analysis and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). The laboratory is well equipped with analytical instruments like digital pH meter, Polarimeter, Conductivity meter and Colorimeter.

Central Instrumentation Room

Equipped with the latest state-of-art analytical instruments, this laboratory assists the students to acquire hands-on training on these instruments. It imparts student practical training in pharmaceutical and analytical chemistry and assist in research work. The laboratory includes sophisticated analytical instruments like UV-VIS spectrophotometer, digital pH meter, digital conductivity meter, digital potentiometer and Nephelo Turbidity Meter etc.

Machine Room

The Machine Room is equipped with Ball mill, Tablet Punching Machine, Tablet Coating Pan, Disintegration Apparatus, Dissolution Apparatus, Friability Test Apparatus, Clarity Test Apparatus, Capsule Filling Machine, Bottle Sealing Machine, Sieve Set, Tablet Counter, Tray Dryer, digital balance, deionization unit, ampoule washing machine, autoclave, Blender etc.

Computer Laboratory

This laboratory is well equipped with 20 Computers of latest hardware specifications and Relevant Legal System and Application softwares. All the computers have internet facility of band width (2 Mbps) and 24 x 7 hours.

Herbal Garden

In ancient days treatment of the major diseases was mainly herbal based. Also, the herbal drugs are an important source of medicines used in modern health care system. It is well known that all parts of a medicinal plant like roots, branches, twigs, stems, leaves, flowers, fruit or seeds can be used as medicines. The use of, and search for, drugs and dietary supplements derived from plants have accelerated in recent years. SCOP Herbal Garden has got good collections of commonly used medicinal herbs from all over India.
